Newcastle United’s Defender Dan Burn has committed his future to the club, penning a new deal that keeps him at St James’ Park until June 2025.

Expressing his deep attachment to the team, Burn, who arrived from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Playing for this club means the world to me, and signing this contract is incredibly meaningful. When I joined, I didn’t want it to be a temporary fix – I aimed for a long-term commitment. So, this signing holds even more significance than my initial arrival. I’m thrilled and eagerly anticipating the upcoming seasons.”

Head coach Eddie Howe expressed his delight at securing Burn’s services for an extended period, highlighting Burn’s leadership qualities both on and off the pitch. “Dan is a true leader for us, and we’re thrilled he’s chosen to stay.

He’s an integral part of our squad and has played a significant role in our progress since he joined. His passion for the club and his determination to succeed will undoubtedly benefit the team and the club’s future endeavors.”

Newcastle United’s next challenge is on Saturday, 21 October, as they host Crystal Palace, aiming to secure their fifth victory in six Premier League matches.
