However, there was another review following Willock’s cross, this time focusing on a possible foul by Joelinton. Once Joelinton was cleared of any offense, a final check for offside was conducted, leading to the eventual awarding of the goal.

The entire sequence of events left Arteta deeply frustrated, particularly as Arsenal lost ground on league leaders Manchester City, who had won 6-1 earlier in the day. Arteta expressed his outrage, calling the decisions “clear and obvious” errors and labeling the situation as embarrassing and a disgrace.
